π General Rules
Eligibility
Open to all amateur singers aged 18 and older. Professional recording artists under active major label contracts are not eligible.
Song Selection
Contestants must sing karaoke versions of published songs. Original compositions are not permitted. Songs must be performed in their original key or a reasonable transposition.
Performance Duration
Performances are limited to the standard length of the chosen karaoke track. Extended intros or outros may be trimmed at the host's discretion.
Accompaniment
No live instruments, pre-recorded backing vocals, or pitch correction devices are permitted. Only the venue-provided karaoke system may be used.
Judge Panel
Each sanctioned event must have a minimum of 3 judges. Judges score independently and may not confer during scoring. Scores are averaged across all judges.
Tie-Breaking
In case of a tie, the singer with the higher "Vocal Quality" score advances. If still tied, a sudden-death round with a new song is performed.
Conduct
Contestants must behave respectfully toward judges, staff, and other contestants. Unsportsmanlike conduct, including heckling or intimidation, may result in disqualification.
Advancement
The top finishers at each level advance to the next tier. The number of advancing contestants varies by event size and is announced before the competition begins.
Disputes
All judging decisions are final. Scoring disputes must be raised within 15 minutes of results announcement and will be reviewed by the head judge or event coordinator.
