One-Song-Per-Lap Enforcement

Singers can now only have ONE active song per rotation lap. Their 2nd song automatically lands in lap 2, 3rd in lap 3, etc. This ensures everyone gets fair rotation cycles and prevents singers from dominating the queue.

Smart Lap Placement Logic

New songs are automatically assigned to the lowest available lap where the singer doesn't already have an active entry. The system counts both served performances and active queue entries to calculate fair lap progression.

Color-Coded Lap Groups (Admin)

The Admin Queue now groups singers by lap with color-coded section headers: Lap 1 (teal), Lap 2 (amber), Lap 3 (rose), Lap 4+ (purple). Makes it easy to see rotation structure at a glance.

Lap Separators (Public Queue)

The public Live Rotation now displays lap separators with descriptive labels: "Lap 1: First Time", "Lap 2: Second Round", etc. Each lap section is visually distinct so users understand the rotation cycle.

Rane ONE & MIDI Controller Support

Connect your Rane ONE or any USB MIDI DJ controller directly to the DJ Cockpit via the Web MIDI API. Play/pause, cue, jog wheels, channel faders, crossfader, and EQ knobs are all mapped out of the box. Works in Chrome and Edge when your app is opened in its own tab.

MIDI Learn Mode

Customize your controller mapping with one-click MIDI Learn. Click "Learn" next to any action, then move the physical control on your hardware — done. Supports buttons (Note On/Off) and continuous controls (CC). Your custom mapping is saved to the browser automatically.

Default Rane ONE Mapping

Ships with a pre-configured mapping for the Rane ONE: Deck A/B play, cue, sync, channel faders, EQ hi/mid/lo, jog wheels, and the crossfader. Reset to defaults anytime from the MIDI settings panel.

Smart Environment Detection

The MIDI connect button automatically hides in environments where Web MIDI is unavailable (like iframes or Firefox). It only appears when your browser actually supports hardware connections — no confusing error messages.

Facebook-Style Social Media Cards

The Media Gallery has been completely redesigned with social media-style cards. Each post now shows the uploader's avatar, tagged singer with a direct profile link, venue info, and time-ago timestamps — just like a social feed.

Likes & Comments on Media

React to performances with ❤️ likes and leave comments on any media post. Like counts are tracked per post and comments show profile pics, timestamps, and delete-your-own support.

Client-Side Image Compression

Photos are now automatically compressed before upload — resized to max 1920px and converted to optimized JPEG. A typical 5MB phone photo shrinks to ~300KB with no visible quality loss, making uploads faster and saving storage.

Video Upload Guidance

Large video uploads (50MB+) now show a friendly warning with file size info. Helps users understand upload times and encourages keeping videos reasonable for smooth playback.

Smart Media Expiration

User-uploaded photos and videos are now permanent by default — no more 7-day countdown. Only auto-recorded DJ/venue performances get the ephemeral 7-day window with the Save option.

Default Public Visibility

All media (including auto-recorded performances) now defaults to public visibility. Members can still toggle individual posts to private via the 3-dot menu on each card.

Fixed Mobile Tab Overflow

Media Gallery tabs no longer overlap on small screens. Tabs are now individually sized with horizontal scrolling, preventing the cramped/clipped layout on mobile devices.

Organization Management

DJ companies and venue groups can now create Organizations. Manage members with role-based access (Owner, Admin, Manager, Member), assign venues to managers, and track org-wide stats. Access from the user menu → Organization.

Mandatory NDA / Confidentiality Agreement

All authenticated members must now accept a legally binding Confidentiality & Non-Disparagement Agreement before accessing the platform. Covers IP protection, data security, and non-disparagement. Scroll-to-bottom required, version-tracked per user.

Referral & Affiliate Program

Paid-tier members get a unique affiliate code. Share it and earn free months when referrals sign up and stay active. Track referral history, qualified conversions, and redeemed credits from the new Referrals dashboard.

Permissions Management (Superadmin)

New /permissions page for superadmins to manage fine-grained role permissions across the platform. Control who can access what with a visual editor.

Impersonation Mode

Admins can now "act as" any member to troubleshoot issues. A persistent banner shows who you're impersonating with a one-click stop button. Profile data, queue entries, and favorites all reflect the impersonated user.

Standalone Mode: Auto-DJ & SmartMic

The DJ Standalone Mode now includes SmartMic Auto-DJ — automatically manages background music volume ducking, singer transitions, and walk-up song playback. The BG Music tab transforms into an intelligent Auto-DJ control panel when enabled.

Standalone Mode: DJ Decks

Full dual-deck DJ mixing interface added to Standalone Mode. Load tracks from your library or indexed songs, crossfade between decks, adjust individual volumes, and record your sets — all within the browser.

KaraFun Integration in Standalone

KaraFun Bar integration now available directly in the Standalone Mode bottom-right panel. Control your KaraFun session, browse catalog, and queue songs without leaving the DJ cockpit.

SMS "You're Up Next" Notifications (Twilio)

Singers can opt in for SMS text alerts when signing up for the queue. When the DJ marks a singer as served, the next singer with a phone number is automatically texted. DJs can also manually trigger SMS from the queue. TCPA-compliant with full consent tracking.

SMS Consent Compliance & Audit Trail

New SmsConsent entity stores auditable opt-in records — phone, consent text, timestamp, venue, queue entry, and user agent. Admin-only proof page at /sms-consent for TCPA compliance. Consent checkbox required before phone number is saved.

Crowd Favorite Voting System

Audience members can vote for the current singer with a 👍 button. At the end of each rotation, the singer with the most votes wins ⭐ Crowd Favorite status, a bonus song at the top of the next rotation, and an in-app notification. Vote counts tracked in SingerScore leaderboards.

AI Queue Optimizer

AI analyzes queue fairness — wait times, lap progression, skip compensation, and energy flow. Generates actionable reorder suggestions with severity levels. Every change creates an audit-trailed RotationEvent record for full transparency.

AI Vocal Coach Panel

Personalized singing performance analytics for members. AI analyzes your history, song choices, and venue trends to provide data-driven feedback, improvement tips, and performance stats. Available on the Member Dashboard.

Singers can now select personalized walk-up entrance songs that play as they approach the stage. Save up to 10 walk-up songs per profile, search Beatport's catalog with BPM/key data, get AI-powered recommendations from Spotify links, or enter any song manually. The DJ sees the walk-up song on the queue with album art — invisible to the audience.

Walk-up song search powered by Beatport's catalog — the world's largest DJ music store. Results include title, artist, album art, BPM, key, and label. Fallback to iTunes when Beatport doesn't have a match.

Spotify Walk-Up Recommendations

Geolocation Proximity Checks

Singers submitting from outside ~1 mile of the venue get a soft warning. They can still join, but the DJ sees a "remote signup" flag. Helps DJs identify who's actually at the venue.

Simultaneous Multi-Venue Nights

DJs can now run multiple live venues at the same time. A venue picker in the Admin Dashboard lets you switch between active nights. Each venue has its own independent queue.

"Not in KV" Song Flagging

Admins can flag songs as unavailable in Karaoke-Version. For superadmins, this opens an instant DJ MIC AI session pre-loaded with context to help find alternatives. All flags logged for auditing.

Local Library Indexer

DJs can now catalogue their local karaoke file collection (CDG, MP4, MKV, KFN) into a searchable index. Add songs one at a time or use AI-powered bulk import. Just paste a song list and it parses automatically.

iOS Dark Mode System Support

The app now respects your iOS system dark mode preference via prefers-color-scheme media queries. The karaoke dark theme stays active by default but properly signals to iOS for status bar and UI chrome consistency.

Smooth Page Transitions

Switching between tabs now features fluid fade-and-slide animations powered by Framer Motion. The transition feels native and responsive, with context preserved when navigating back.

Smart Keyboard Handling

The bottom navigation bar now automatically hides when the iOS on-screen keyboard appears, giving you full screen space for typing song names, messages, and search queries. It slides back when the keyboard closes.

Pull-to-Refresh

Swipe down on the Live Rotation and Notifications pages to refresh content — just like a native app. The gesture feels natural with a spring-loaded animation and loading indicator.

Mobile Select Bottom Sheets

Added viewport-fit=cover, safe-area-inset support, apple-mobile-web-app meta tags, and 16px input font sizes to prevent iOS auto-zoom. The app feels native when added to your home screen.

Save to Favorites from Search

When searching for songs in My Queue, you now see both an "Add to Rotation" button and a ⭐ star button to save songs directly to your favorites without joining the queue.

Duet Favorites & Smart Duet Requests

Mark any favorite song as a "duet" in your Faves tab. When someone requests a duet with you, they can browse your known duets first — or search for something new. Your duet repertoire is visible on your profile too!

Real Album Art (iTunes)

Song search results now pull high-resolution album artwork from the iTunes API. No more placeholder icons — every song gets its real cover art.

KV Library Check for DJs

DJs can connect their Karaoke-Version account to instantly see which songs in the queue they own vs. need to purchase. A $ indicator appears on songs not in your library.

Recently Served Singers

The queue now shows the last 3 served singers above the current performer. Tap "Show Recent Singers" to see who just went. Great for avoiding duplicate entries and tracking the flow.

Privacy Policy

A comprehensive privacy policy is now available covering data collection, third-party sharing, user controls, and data retention. Accessible from the app footer and both manuals.

Lyrics-Based Song Search

Can't remember the song title? Search by lyrics! Type a line from any song and the search engine will identify it and find the karaoke version for you.

Improved Song Details Popup

Tapping a singer's song info now shows full album art, singer profile, duet info, key requests, and KV library status in a polished popup.
